Reading Glasses Frame Guide

At Visualites we have 5 different style frames of our own traditional reading glasses and one additional style from John Varvatos. We also have two different style sun readers and the original Thinoptics ultra-thin readers. But this guide is going to focus on our designer reader. Our designer readers come in the following frame shapes; rectangle, half moon, oval, half eye and our newest design in the Visualites 8 the screw-less rectangle.

Our rectangle frames are wider and edgy and convey an intellectual look. These come in so many colors we are sure to have one for everyone’s taste. With the flashy colors like tangerine, sky and lime that pop with brilliant color, to more subdued tones like our smoke and khaki we have the full spectrum. Then we also have some styles that offer some texture including blush and gray matrix for those looking for something truly original in their readers.

Half moon style reading glasses frames are one of the most classic even historical frame style of glasses made. We took this somewhat of an antique design and gave it a modern look with fresh colors and texture. The Visualtes 2 half moon frames are available in the very popular tortoise, very urban smoke and a light and airy crystal color. These modern colors on this classic frame have given them a whole new re-birth in popularity and are now considered retro.

Our Visualites 7 are designed to be worn as a half eye reading glass frame. The appearance of the V7 is very similar to the classic V1. The intention for the V7 was that it will be worn a little lower down on the nose than the V1. This allows you to peer more easily above the reader when looking out in the distance. The height of the V1 is 25 mm high. The height of the V7 is 22 mm high. While not much of a difference, it is enough to make some kind of distinction between the two. People can tell the difference and will often develop a strong preference to one over the other. The Visualites 7 frames come in some of our most bold color saturations. The red is extremely deep and rich, the cobalt blue is bold and pops, while the taupe is a rich almost steel looking color.

The new full frame designer reading glasses bring inspiration from a classic rock and roll style with their modified square lenses and the way the frames extend beyond the lenses and the arms are attached at the back of the frame instead of on the side. These come in three very sophisticated color options including black frames with tortoise arms, crystal frames with tortoise arms and full tortoise. With these options you can have a pair that compliments any look you are going for. The full frame readers are ideal for any man or woman looking for distinguished, fashionable, lightweight reading glasses.
